Now, please contain your enthusiasm but the Political Teenager alerts me to an exciting new development in the blogosphere. President Ahmadinejad of Iran has joined us. Hilariously there is a poll on his blog which asks the following question: Do you think that the US and Israeli intention and goal by attacking Lebanon is pulling the trigger for another word (sic) war?
Democracy is a wonderful thing. I've just voted and the No vote is running at 69%. No thanks to President Ahmadinejad, of course. If it wasn't for him, Hizbollah would probably have run out of Katyusha rockets by now.

Did you notice the typo in the poll question? it says "word" war instead of probably "world" war.
He would win a word war aginst Bush though...
Another typo: "comenct"
It's now on 70% for no.
MI5 will have a lot of work tracking everyone who reads the blog. It's only a matter of time before Ahmadinejad claims he has wide support in the West, as the following for his blog is bound to be vast.
It looks a bit shit, to be honest.
Someone should have a word in his ear about getting a Blogspot account instead. It'd probably be a bit quicker to load as well.
It has ben rigged to read 49% for "No" now.
'Oh Almighty God, please, we beg you to send us our Guardian'

Oh, mock the foreigner. How very old tory.
How's your Persian?
ps. political teenager. That's what sic means. Duh.
More to the point, I thought Iran was on the list of countries to which one couldn't export US software products. It's an M$ server!
It seems to required Javascript to run - given the author and where its hosted I've gone for no thanks.
Should have added - I notice the English language flag is a combination of the Stars & Stripes and the cross of St George. (At least it is when I look at it with as much security as I can muster ) What does that tell us I wonder ?
Can't be Ahmadinejad,
Having seen the photo's he is a ringer for the kebab shop guy i visit after a night out.
Got to be a hoax
Is that the flag from V for Vendetta? Man, everyone loves that story.
The blog is real, btw. Ubergeeks BoingBoing have posted about it.
If you're worried about malware, subscribe to his RSS feed instead.
2300 words in his first post! The man is getting paid by the word???
It's Farsical!
Ian,
Iranians don't speak Persian, we speak Farsi.
Couple of points. The first article I read was poorly translated.
Secondly some one mentioned them using MS software, well so does Hezboulah on its almanar tv website.
Re blogfan, it is a religious country so asking God for things seems normal, though wanting to read the Guardian surely isn't?
now 53% no
Instead of scaring all the children who drop in to your blog, why not recommend they start with Sufi Muslim Council? Perhaps you might even be able to spot a shift in government policy.
Not interested? Ok, I'll leave you to your right-wing ranting in peace then :0)
It's currentyl down and spitting out a generic .NET error page. Looks like his web developer is going to be getting 100 lashes in Tehran city centre. Unless it is all a plot by the evil americans and their software to make him look incompetent.
