Hattersley in Suicide Warning

Question to Roy Hattersley on the radio yesterday (as quoted in today's super soaraway Sun)

Interviewer: Should John Reid become next leader of the Labour Party?

Hattersley: If he does I will shoot myself.

I know exactly what you're expecting me to write now, so I needn't bother. God, I'm soooo predictable!

Finally Reid has a use!

He would probably miss. I wouldn't make the same mistake if I was aiming at him. Then again even Lzee Harvey Oswald would struggle to aim dead centre with all that phelm flying around...

I used to detest Hattersley with a vengeance in my misguided youth.

Having read some of his excellent attacks on the Blairistas, I have to say, give the devil his due.

As with Michael Meacher, anyone who his prepared not to toe the party line is worth a second look.

And I could have seen one of his last performances at the Edinburgh Book Festival on Monday!

Last night I heard Michael Gove speaking favourably about blogs - including this eminent one. He even reads mine!

How the f*** can Fattersley possibly blow his brain cell out?

Got it! Head down the muzzle of a 105mm cannon and depleted uranium shell. No, I'm not convinced, sorry.
