BROADCAST OVER
The webcast will last 30 minutes.
I think that was very successful. The technology worked. Several other bloggers, including Dizzy carried it too. Around 400 people were watching at any one time. The chat room facility didn't seem to work, but the pictures and audio stream worked almost perfectly, with no noticeable buffering. I used Mogulus when it was first in Beta mode. It's a very powerful platform. Expect the other two parties to now use it. Even Mark Hanson who wrote the rather disparaging article on LabourList yesterday was impressed judging by the comment he left earlier. So well done to Craig Elder and his team. They must be relieved it went off well and that the experiment worked.
If you missed it you can watch it HERE.

fair play - this is good
checked out Mogulus - looks a really good platform
Glad to see this sort of innovation in political engagement. Even my steam-powered, decade old PC & dodgy broadband connection is providing a very watchable live-feed (no jumps, pauses or'buffering').
Also, Dave is talking a lot of sense - smart technology & an engagement with 21st Century engineering as a sound mechanism for effective Govt. spending.
The chat worked but it seems only if you accessed it from conservatives.com or the mogulus site directoyl
Why do you say that? It worked perfectly on here and on Dizzy's blog.
I couldn't get to the chatroom from your page Iain. Otherwise fine.
Putting aside the techno innovation of communicating with the masses, here we have another mentally challenged politician supporting the ecomentalist/tree hugger global warming agenda. Given that in all probability Call Me Dave will be the next prime minister this does not bode well for the British economy, as it will be top loaded with billions of pounds of the British citizens money thrown at so called green technologies.
