No More Anonymous Comments Until I Get Back

It is impossible for me to police comments properly during my stay in Rwanda, so I am stopping anonymous comments for the time being. I've just had to delete about half a dozen from the thread on the Ealing by election and if I had more time I'd have deleted a whole lot more.

No one should be put off commenting. Just create a Google account and you're away.

England needs another Air Chief Marshall Dowding not another Blair.

There is at least one labour mole that has penetrated deep inside CCHQ.

Is Ken Clarke busy next month?

Save string.

Good move! Make it permanent. I get so pissed off with the mindless, crass, comments of so many Anons.

And what is the point, exactly? 742 people calling themselves 'Anonymous' really does not aid clarity in discussions. I'm surprised they even remember who they are or what they might have anonymously said. Maybe they just want to indulge themselves rather than debate.

If Dave Cameron is the answer what the F*** was the question ?

I would like to see Michael Gove in the top job,he is so switched on and knows what people are about not Cameron is just a very bad spinner I can't even stand looking at him any longer.

Michael Gove if you are reading this with your Marmite toast- what has happened to the "Sensational Alex Harvey" ??

There problems back here that need David Cameron's attention. A trip to Rwanda will not attract a single voter.

Good call. But are you going to allow offensive comments from google account members but you aren't going to allow non-offensive comments from anonymous people?

He was the future once.

Very little on news about Ealing.Mostly, first cash for h. and then floods. Not much damage to Conservatives or Cameron done in public mind.

Jenny Agutter in the nud - the film is 'WALKABOUT'.

Iain,
Good on you - let's maintain a bit of exclusivity here.
No more of these cowardly anons.

Iain I think this is an important first step towards stopping a lot of this nonsense, though I'm not sure it will be enough. Without wishing to sound like a broken record, compare and contrast the comments from your Ealing thread with that on PB.com and see the difference in terms of constructive interaction. It makes you ask, what the hell do all these anonymous trolls actually seek to do?
