Alastair Campbell Has a Blog

Alastair Campbell is writing a blog HERE in the runup to the publication of his diaries on July 9th. And very good it is too, although it is a shame that he doesn't allow comments. Just think about some of my more vociferous commenters transferring over... There's no doubt he can certainly write in an entertaining and provocative style. His tale of being mistaken for Piers Morgan is hilarious.

I made a very brief visit to Campbells website - I suspect he has a lot of free time on his hands during the day.

It's a great shame that there's no area for comment - the man is clearly terrified of what readers will write. I'm not surprised - his personal actions are in part to blame for the tide of death, destruction, madness, mayhem and misery that has swept across Iraq and the Middle East.

I hope he has great difficulties sleeping at night.

The mere mention of his name brings my blood up to boiling point. He is about the only person in the world I would use my least favourite word on.

You are right, the Piers post is funny. I then made the mistake of reading his 2nd post, about refusing to get involved in the Blair/media-did-me-down debate.

Yuch.

Are you really going to make money out of the diaries of this w*****r Iain?
A s the first comment says it looks like he's got too much time on his hands. As for me, I hope the rest of his life is miserable.

Showing his trade mark consistency Campbell has an entry up as "Tuesday 12 June" followed by one on "Wednesday 12 June". Some get that man a proof reader or a PA!

Frankly I hope the rest of his life is /short/

I had to go back for another visit - 'The diary of a vain nobody, who was somebody (once)' would be a better title.

I look foward to some entries like this -

Friday 13th

Woken by the screams of the innocent in my dreams

Had a drink

Waited all morning for the phone to ring

Had another drink

Etc

Odious man.

So all that has happened is that now, you do the tour, you do Jonathan Ross and you do the blog, etc, etc, etc. Since it is clearly a puff for his diaries I cannot conceive of a reason to visit it.

Alaister campbell being mistaken for piers puke morgan.
Rather like stalin getting a little upset for being confused with hitler.
Or dog poop being confused for pig poop , you wouldnt really want to be either of them or be around either of them.

you posted the wrong link; it doesn't go straight to the blog.

I don't like the way Campbell writes - too wordy and rambling, and reading his blog, I can almost hear his whiny, self-justifying voice.

All I got by following your link was a demand that I register. You must be joking. Does this sleazebag really think people are going to give him their names and email addresses?

I wouldn't read his book if it were given to me free. He is a vicious, destructive, nasty personality and I wish him ill.

Actually, I'm fairly confident that his book will fail because there's already the stale air of yesterday's man about Blair. Despite the great damage he has done to our country, I don't think there's any personal interest in him at all.

We know Campbell's book has been filleted of veracity, so why buy it? I wouldn't even read it free.

I don't think anyone will buy the Campbell diaries because far from wanting to read about Blair and the Blair years, it's something people want to forget - or at least Middle England do, which frankly is the market authors have to break into if they're ever going to achieve high book sales.

wise up
most political diaries are "payback" for services rendered unto the publisher.
