Now it's Harriet Harman's Turn for a Gaffe

Actually, she's already made one howler with her ridiculous remarks on making the Attorney General's advice public, thereby putting a giant stiletto through any semblance of collective responsibility. But I digress.

Harperson has written to the Leader of Crewe & Nantwich Borough Council, Cllr. Brian Silvester, asking him to comment on her Local Government proposals and to support her bid to be Deputy Leader. Nothing wrong with that, you might think... apart from the fact that Silvester is a Tory and so is the Council!

Cllr. Silvester said “Ms Harman has not realised that the Borough Council is no longer a Labour run Council and has automatically thought that I must be a Labour Councillor. It does not say a lot for Ms Harman’s organising ability when she is asking for support from the Leader of a Conservative Group! Ms Harman has offered to come to speak to us in Crewe but I don’t think the offer will be taken up! I wish her well in her bid to be Deputy Leader of the Labour Party”
As do we all.

Like I said, 'there's not two without three..'

Any takers on whether Cruddas or the Chipmunk will be the next 'gaffer'?

Obviously a worthy Deputy Leader - both stupid and incompetent.

I used to think she was just pretending to be an air-head to take the heat off her male colleagues - should have realised no one is that good an actor!

As gaffes go this isn't such a bad one

I think the least he could have done is to publish an open letter supporting Harriet Harman for Deputy Leader as embelematic of the modern Labour Party

I have evidence of a few more gaffs I could point out. Mind you, I'm a principled bugger, so its unlikely to happen.

She's got a face that glows with self-satisfaction. And she's fat. And she's stupid. What's not to loathe?

When Hattie and Pattie were running the old National Council for Civil Liberties, it was hand in glove with the old Paedophile Information Exchange. But now Hattie wants to be Deputy Leader of the Labour Party, while Patty has overall responsibility for every social worker in England.

Oh dear!

What an utterly obnoxious cow. Complete Miss Insincerity.

It amazes me that she has managed to slime her way so far up the NuLabour greasy pole.

But the dear old Beeb will always have her on. Is that because she pushes? Does the beeb not respect its audiences who sit there with their ears covers as she pontificates?

It does? Why?

A sleazy disposition is a qualification for Nulabour's slimey pole. Also avoirdupois. (qv Cherie Blair and Harriet Harmon, neither of whom have ever seen a dessert on a menu that they couldn't fall in love with.)

Verity, you know, you got very upset when it was suggested that you had a "womb like a wrinkled prune" and were obviously childless. You perhaps should avoid criticising other women for their appearance. I somehow doubt that you are an attractive 25 year old.

There's nothing more unpleasant than a woman who loves to demean other girls' looks then bristles at personal remarks aimed at herself.

Poor Harriet has never been the brightest twinkle on the Christmas tree.

The Chipmunk is a robot and will never say anything that contradicts the official line but we can live in hope. Cruddas is essentially Old Labour and so can be guaranteed to come out with some socialist garbage that can be used against him. I think at one point he accused the government of paying too much attention to the middle classes. Sorry Cruddas but we're in the majority now and we decide who wins the elections. BOW BEFORE US.

I am sorry to see Iain is lending his site to inadequate men who are so angry with women. Iain wrote "My sister, my hero".

The hatred against women on this site is repulsive.

No wonder you have so few women posters with so much hatred. I'm not even going to go back to 18 Doughty Street, even if you ever manage to improve the inadequate sound quality.

I am a woman. How dare you say

"The hatred against women on this site is repulsive."

Yes it is, and 99% of it comes from you. You attack women MPs and you attack women on the basis of their personal appearance. If you dish it out to other women, Verity, and you always do, be prepared to be called on your misogyny by other women.

"And she's fat."

"Cherie Blair and Harriet Harmon, neither of whom have ever seen a dessert on a menu that they couldn't fall in love with"

This is but a mere sampling of your incessant anti-woman rants. Women MPs are pushy and unqualified and should stay at home.. you do not exactly embody the kind gentle spirit of the Victorian "angel of the house" yourself, you know.

Pack in insulting other girls on the basis of their looks and people won't speculate on yours.
