Oi - Iain! I may live up here in Yorkshire but I served my time on the Chicken Run at The Boleyn :
Let me fill you in "post Budgie" - Ferguson, Lampard, McDowell, Moore, Anybody at centre half ..... ah, I can't keep on. But I remember Harry Redknap skinning Chopper Harris in front of the Chicken Run until the cheers got to his head! Second time he tried, Harris deposited him three rows back - and no seats in them days ! Oh, how we laughed - after we'd stopped wincing at the crunching sound!
And what a player Clyde Best was until they tried to turn him into another Hurst after Geoff went to Stoke !
And the best left sided attacker going, the late Graham Paddon ( ex - Norwich) with Brooking being nowt but a lad with promise !
West Ham - Cup winners 1964, European Cup Winners Cup winners 1965, World Cup Winners 1966. And I spent a great evening talking to Ted Fenton at Hornchurch Football Club when he was describing the young Moore and all the others. What bliss for a star struck but hard-bitten Royal Marine !

Great article by Paul Waugh. Michael Gove seems to be claiming a great deal, doesn't he? At any rate, Cameron is saying what needs to be said, and Brown isn't. Even for the cynics out there, at least there will be a clear-cut choice next election.

Good point from TrueBlue about MPs' ages, but I reckon a lower limit for MPs should be 25-30, not 30-35. But, then again, I am an 18-year-old wonk, aren't I?

Just watch the BNP party political broadcast. (I know, but you have to - blog a couple of days ago?) Was it me, or did the blurb at the end about telephone charges say something like “Normal geogrophic charges apply..” geogrophic?

Nadine and some journo's £48 champagne or claret ... presumably she helped out as it was consumed? I'll be very interested to see Nadine's expenses receipts. very interested.

Chris,
Nadine says the bottle wasn't opened.
And no need for her to help out if she had been invited to lunch by the journo (the Brute?).
