A shame, but the old boy had a good innings.

Much missed, a mainstay of my Sunday evenings when I was growing up

You can almost imagine the interview to get into heaven -

Magnus is called forward to take his seat to answer the questions

God (voice off screen) - Your name

MM - Magnus Magnusson

God - Your occupation

MM - Television Presenter

God - Your specialist subject

MM - The Life an times of Magnus Magnusson

God - Mr Magnusson, You have 2 minutes on your specialist subject starting now

Tasteless title Iain

There's one of my ambitions gone. It's a bit like Have I got News for You, and Countdown never quite being the same. Would Paxman make a suitable replacement, or is he too insulting when someone gets a question wrong?

Regrets - the passing of a fine man.

Good title Iain just the right tone of incidental pathos. I `ve always had a Magnus Magnusson approach the "fire water" aka "fighting juice". I `m alright if I don`t start but if I do...

Does he have a son or did they run out of syllables ?

His daughter Sally is a credit to the old boy. She's an absolute cracker. I've been a fan since she was a presenter on BBC's Tonight show. Now, more mature, but still very sexy, she was last seen (by me anyway) on The Daily Politics at the Tory Conference. A case of Beauty and the Beast!
We should see more of Sally. Nudge, nudge. Seriously, she's one of the few women presenters who's both attractive and intelligent. And who appears to know what her interviewee is talking about.

"Ive Started So I will Finish"
Yes a phrase we men remember well from the days before feminazis taught crypto lesbians to scream
" Im drunk and I've changed my mind"
(I'm joking)

He was a good writer as well, his 'History of Scotland' is well worth a read. And when he won the 'World's Strongest Man' title all those times I was stunned, oh wait that was Magnus Ver Magnusson wasn't it.
