Home Office Cocks it up Again

I suspect the phone lines between John Reid's office and Number Ten are rather hot at the moment. During the PM's Press Conference Nick Robinson bounced Blair with a question relating to Home mOffice figures on the number of released foreign prisoners. He said 150 were at large who had committed serious offences - a much larger figure than the one given last week. Blair said he couldn't answer as he hadn't seen the figures. Oops. Charles Clarke will be having a chortle.

I see compensation claims coming but then again when you look at the numbers paid to management consultants its so easy to sign cheques with other peoples money. Warren Buffet would run our government at a third of the cost with three times the efficiency.

Is the discrepancy between Clarkes figures and John Rieds figures, EU citizenship? How many foreign criminals are from EU member states and will deportation apply to them too? That is the question.
