LibDem Councillors Seek New Chief Executive

I see the Association of Liberal Democrat Councillors is advertising for a new Chief Executive. May I be so bold as to suggest what might be included in the job description? Perhaps dumping all the scurrilous campaign manuals which have brought their Party into such disrepute? Perhaps the days of "acting wickedly" and "stirring shamelessly" might soon be behind us. But I suspect not. I wonder who is the current Chief Executive. Have they been sacked? Where are they going? Information on an email please. For those interested the job is based in Bernard Ingham's home town of Hebden Bridge and commands a salary of between £34k and £39k.

Don't mention dumping like that... They'll end up with Mark Oaten applying!

Howard Sykes, he hasn't been sacked, and it's looking pretty likely he'll be the leader of Oldham Council come May 5th....

FYI ALDC is technically a subsidiary part of the "mainstream" party, it's essentially the independent "trade union" for councillors, and guards its autonomy jealously.

You don't fancy the job then Iain? You managed to handle DD's West Lothian u-turn without him becoming a figure of hate. :o)

For sake of clarification, I posted ALDC is NOT a subsidiary part of the mainstream party.... at least I think I did!
