Norman Baker Leaves LibDem Front Bench Team

I'm not sure if this has been reported elsewhere or not, but in case it hasn't, Norman Baker has resigned from the LibDem Front Bench. He had been Environment Spokesman for some time.

Wasnt he once accused of being the most boring man in the Commons? Any reason given for him going???

He was accused of being dull because he asks about three times as many parliamentary questions as the next most quizical MP. Most are immensely dull but sometimes it is gold dust - his questions prompted Mandelson's second resignation for example and he constantly gets a front page broadsheet mention for some titbit.

He was a Ming backer so nothing to do with that. Just said he didn't really like being on the frontbench and would rather do the maverick questioning role and constituency role.

It was in a couple of papers this morning, by the way.
