I am not reduced to saying that Tories are beastly to Michael Martin because he is working class, I actually believe it.
Also, as I have said before, I think Martin is a good Speaker. For example he is much better than Boothroyd (Betty, not Aidy) ever was.
Perhaps it would be interesting for Tories to set out why they think he is such a "bad" Speaker?

Because, like an awful lot of Labour people, you still hold archaic views on class. I don't give a rat's arse that Martin is working class. What I care about is his bias, his arrogance and his inability to do the job properly; evidenced in recent months by putting Jill Pay in her current job, and indeed not making his own enquiries about the events of the last week.
Pity John Craig hasn't be covering this story for Sky. Kay Burley was frankly pathetic yesterday and so was their junior political reporter.
