*** Speaker Will Make Statement at 3.30pm***
It couldn't be, could it?
UPDATE: Well no, it couldn't. That was a damp squib. All about parliamentary emails and how the Police hasn't had any access.
He said that the Parliamentary IT people wouldn't allow access without permission from the Serjeant at Arms, that they hadn't been anywhere near Damian Green's emails or stuff on the parliamentary server and that, in future, access will only be given with the Speaker's permission, which will only be given if there's a warrant.
Despite it not being as tense this time, did anyone notice how Martin still had a head coloured like a tomato and still spoke in that ghostly voice he does when he's nervous. Maybe the first statement caused some permanent damage.

Probably to announce the composition of the speakers conference on the representation of women in parliament :P
I bloody hope so!
Actually, Sky News is reporting that the statement is about the inquiry. I got all excited for nothing :(
"Commons Speaker Michael Martin will make a statement this afternoon about the stalled parliamentary inquiry into the raid on Damian Green's office."
Con Home reporting that it is about Damian Green's e mails being seacrhed by police (did they have a warrant?)
@ YeyAnother
he wont say he'll resign to the press first and parliament second.... that would something
You never know, perhaps Gorbals Mick has found a way of redeeming himself, and will walk the plank.
Are you ready, Sir Alan????
No, it couldn't.
Doesn't look like it.
Wasn't... reassuring statement though about ICT security in the HoC
In a word, Iain - no.

xD.
It doesn't warrant a statement. He could have just sent an email.
