You Know Who...


Schweppes have started a new advertising campaign. You can see all their posters HERE. And no, they haven't paid me for this post. Perhaps they're paying you know who...

At £17.83 a bottle for Gordons the king of Gins, I'm not surprised the MP claimed it on his expenses....

I know people who wouldn't even clean their toilet with Gordon's Gin.

That's a good sign that Cameron and therefore the Tories have not been damaged by this.

If they had they would have pulled this campaign.

I cannot see a company using sleazy Labour and Liberal Democrat politicians in Adverts!

IanVisits: I don't think so. It must be Bombay Sapphire. But the ad campaign is very imaginative and bang on the nail. Love it! It captures the mood beautifully.

Not sure how you can think that Tories have not been damaged. If, as Iain says the campaginers are getting abused on the doorstep then they must have been. They certainly are as culpable as the Labour party and it seems to me that people like Andrew McKay, Julie Kirbride should go along with Morley and Malik from the Labour side.

You know who have certainly captured the mood of the nation. The Maddona "Orphan Boutique" also appealed to me.Expect it to go viral, which I guess is what they want.

In the meantime, chaps, chaps, let not get het up about which gin.

However, I would kill for a bottle of Xoriguer or Beltran if you have some duty free allowance coming back from Minorca.

The tonic must be in those little tins to keep it fizzy and I prefer Schweppes.

And I believe it's your round...

I can see those becoming collector's items - like the Guinness posters in the 1960s that reworked some well-loved Gilbert & Sullivan songs.** In fact, I want one of each of those now: where can I buy them?

These have been in the Sat telgraph magazine for a few weeks now. Odd campaign.
I like the one where Brown is being fired Apprentice style best.

Excellent stuff - and the first original advertising for years,
But you can stuff the Gordon's when there's Plymouth Gin available - and ditto Schweppes whilst Fevertree Tonic is out there !
But wouldn't you really love to stick the ice cubes up Gordon's fundament !
