Tara's Top Ten Tory Twits
Click HERE to read Tara Hamilton-Miller's latest New Statesman column where she discusses the Top Ten Tory Twits of all time. Me? I'd have gone for the Top 100...
She's not gone back far enough. In the 1970s, Sir Gerald Nabarro was a Tory twit famous for sporting a handlebar moustache and for owning nine cars each with personalised number plates. And how can any such list omit Sir Nicholas Fairbairn, who was cut off mid-flight by Mr Deputy Speaker when attempting a graphic description of the homosexual act during a Commons debate, or Alan Clark for getting his penis out in the hallway of his mistress's flat after feeling neglected during a party.

Tara Hamilton-Miller fails to mention two female twits but names all the men.
I shall have to go round and spank some sense into her.

Neil Hamilton and David Waddington.
Seems to me Tory twits stand out by their very rarity.
You could never distinguish Labour twits from all their same-coloured bretheren.
Nor would there be enough paper and ink to list them. Perhaps Labout NON-twits ? Frank Field comes to mind ....
To show I'm not prejudiced, how about the deeply unattractive David Mellor, and the deeply pink Chris Patten ?
Alan Douglas
Go on then, freedom to prosper and Paul Linford... name the common denominator in your choices.
Piper Labour twit par excellence makes an appearance without even a hint of self-knowledge.
