Suzanne Lamido on Suz Blog describes the LibDem ferrets in a sack in Islington HERE. Now shall I talk about the LibDem tax proposals this evening or shall I ignore them as most of the mainstream media has done its best to do today? Or maybe that was the intention... Back to the Big Brother eviction, I think...
UPDATE 9.31pm: Just been looking at LibDem Blogs and am astonished that only three or four LibDem blogs seem to be talking about their new tax proposals. The fact that their own blogs are ignoring the proposals make me think I ought to read them. Oh dear, can I really be bothered?

Had a look at the Islington lib dem blog. Can you imagine if a Tory councillor wrote about a fellow party member on a blog site in those terms? Doncha fink the BBC - starting with Today, at its sanctimonious best - would find acres of time to broadcast news of the party infighting? Wonder how much coverage the Islington Liberal Meltdown will get? [not holding breath]. THanks for the public service Iain.

"The Environmental Audit Committee also wants Air Passenger Duty, which was frozen in the Budget for the fifth consecutive year, to rise from its average of £15. It proposes new taxes on flights within the EU, and a government levy on domestic flights for the first time...
...The committee also said that cars with large engines which produce the most carbon emissions should be more heavily taxed, with drivers of the worst polluters paying up to £1,800 a year car tax...
...Tim Yeo, the Conservative chairman of the committee, said that drastic measures were required, and that Britain had to take the lead.
Don't worry Iain, your party may wake up and smell the coffee.
Oldsarum, we have a clear polt to overmine Ming, We aim to support him and keep him in office.
With a bit of luck the Lib dems either wont notice or wont believe it.
Iain, I think we may need to have a look at these, tedious as it might be, otherwise our farmer friends may be stitched up into paying more per year for their vehicle licence than the super trooper / jeep rovers are worth.
Have you ever come across a LibDem tax document? They're designed to bore the reader into submission...
No one's bothered with Lamido's post because too many people now know what she's like!
She hasn't been involved with Islington Lib Dems for at least 5 years now anyway, contrary to the rather misleading impression you might get from her blog.
You're more likely to get accurate comments from some of the ranters on ConHome than you'd ever get from Susanne's blog. Can be safely ignored!

What's that supposed to mean - are you one who listens to gossip. It's very easy to start a rumour.
I'm not going anywhere - Very difficult to ignore me.
Is it not you who wrote on your blog
"All power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely."
It's one of the many deficiencies of Britain's 'elective dictatorship' that we heap power upon power until the bearer is demented. Then we feel sorry for them and re-elect them. As in 1987, so in 2005, a prime minister on the edge of insanity is returned to office so that they can self-destruct.
I think somebody in Islington has just self-destructed.
Don't tell me you are ignorant of what has been happening or you are not a real activist.
Why are so many of our ex councillors joining the Labour party. Its in all playing out in the local papers. Others who have spoken to me, they are all alive and kicking.
Good thing I am a member of the Lib Dems otherwise I might be tempted to be more specific in some of my postings.
I'm not like one of Islington members has been posting anonimously then claiming it's me when questions started to be asked.
I'm almost sure I know who it is because he has a clear writing style and regularly uses specific words.
I say what I mean and call a spade a spade. I am to egocentic to hide behind anonimous. Tough if somebody doesn't like it.
Interesting blog. I liked the bit about the Baroness having a duel mandate.
"His wife Sarah Ludford as a Baroness has a duel mandate and under European rules will not be able to stand again."
Does this mean she has the obligation to challenge anyone who besmirches her honour to pistols at dawn?
