Desperate Arsenal's Big Brother's Line of Beauty
Seeing Jens Lehman get sent off. An hour of A Line of Beauty. Two episodes of Desperate Housewives. One hour of Commander in Chief. Can there ever have been a better night's TV? And tomorrow Big Brother starts. Let the freak show begin...
Tonight is going to be great. I get to meet a load of new people that I can openly hate. 13 weeks of 10pm tv is also sorted, no need to look at the tv guide.
Lehmann's exit gave me almost as much pleasure as the Glaswegian undertaker's exit from St James' Park. There's justice in the world after all - that sending off last night was not only merited in itself, but was payback for all the times the horrible, snarling, arrogant, precious thug has physically pushed players over and (disgracefully) escaped red cards. He's the most outstandingly unpleasant Gunner since that braying jackal Keown (not to mention Reyes, whose idiotic smirk is so reminiscent of Dubbya).
That was probably 'the' Arsenal's best ever chance to win the Champions' League - next season Chelsea will be back with Ballack and Shevchenko (and Mourinho knows that if he doesn't get it, Abramovich will probably ditch him in favour of Hiddink). Plus Henry will probably have left.
Still, whoever said English football was boring and predictable(as was being said at the start this season?) Arsenal reach the Champions' League final, Liverpool win the FA Cup (after being given a real run for their money by West Ham), only a virus stops Spurs from winning the fourth Champions' League place, and Man Utd get football's OBE (other b*ggers' efforts), the Carling Cup. What a pity Arsene Wenger didn't become the new England manager.
In accordance with the register of Members' Interests, I declare myself a Man Utd fan.

Yes there was a better nights TV than that. It was when the BBC transmitters broke down and the test card was on all evening!
