Damn, I misread link 3. 'Poll' read as 'Pole'. Nearly made me choke on my cup of tea!

Iain

Watched the Speaker signing his own death warrant, posted on your site.

Something is very rotten in this Parliament, that this twerp can allow Skinner to mention Ashcroft but Unite are not to be mentioned.

This reminded me of Gorbal's Mick and his disgraceful behaviour which also led to his own downfall when he tried to prevent an MP from speaking (Kate Hoey?).

Shameful - I do hope Bercow experiences his own Portillo/Twigg moment on May 6th/7th.

UNITEs strike is not against BA. It's against the Labour Government. They are trying to use their financial and logistical muscle to change Government policy. They see it as an opportunity before the election.

UNITE believes that they can engineer the strike being called off to make Gordon look good - if they get their way behind closed doors. If they don't get their way then they don't care if the Tories win because they will be mire valuable to Labour and their members.

Mr Whelhan is threatening to bankrupt Labour both financially and at the ballot box. They want this sorted now because Labour need to pay the printers for their election leaflets right now. UNITE is threatening to bankrupt Labour just when Labour is bankrupting the country.

The Pink News item is of no surprise to me at all. Nick Herbert has been doing such great work. Although he has always studiously avoided being the Tories' gay poster boy his speech at the CATO institute and his appearance at the Stonewall hustings has garnered praise from from here and abroad.
