Labour Scrap Their Own 'Achievements'

Remember Hazel Blears trumpeting their 50 Achievements. It used to be HERE. But it's not any longer. Would anyone by any chance have a copy of this famous list? Would the 'end of boom and bust' by any chance have been one of supposed achievements? Just askin'....

  10. Even Labour's 2005 manefesto mentions Boom and Bust and hosteges to fortune in it:

  12. Boom & Bust: Definition:

"alternation of economic growth and recession: the alternation in an economy or market between immoderate growth and collapse and recession" MSN Encarta

    From the Lone Voice blog:

    Gordon Brown: November 1997

"new monetary policy arrangements will deliver long-term price stability, and prevent a return to the cycle of boom and bust."

    Gordon Brown: April 1998

"We will not return to the stop-go, boom-bust years which we saw under the Conservatives."

    Gordon Brown: June 1998

"...rigorous financial discipline that, together with monetary stability, ends once and for all the boom and bust that for 30 years has undermined stability"

    Alistair Darling 2000

"Britain was set to repeat the old, familiar cycle of boom and bust. Since then, we have created and rigorously adhered to a new framework of modern economic management"

    Gordon Brown: March 2000

"Britain does not want a return to boom and bust"

    Tony Blair: 2000

"The first big choice: a government with the strength to deliver stability, or a government that takes the country back to boom and bust."

    Gordon Brown: November 2000

"Our approach is to reject the old vicious circle of the '80s--rising debt, higher long-term interest rates, higher debt repayment costs, lower growth, higher unemployment, then enforced cuts in public spending."

"That was the old boom and bust."

    Gordon Brown: March 2001

"We will not return to boom and bust."

    John Prescott: January 2005

"Labour economic stability has replaced Tory boom and bust"

    Tony Blair: 2005

"In the first two terms we corrected the weaknesses of the Tory years: boom-and-bust economics"

    Gordon Brown: March 2006

"I have said before: no return to boom and bust."

    Gordon Brown: March 2007

"We will not return to the old boom and bust"

  14. The last 11 years NEVER existed!

The Supreme Being(promoted from Supreme Leader in token of him saving the Global Economy)has decreed that the records must be expunged of anything that hints at his incompetent handling of the UK Economy or of anything that may cause embarassment to the fiction being carefully woven around Brown, by a compliant media, that he has saved the Global Banking System from destruction caused by the greedy Tory-Boy Bankers and that only he can steer the country through these turbulent times

  16. Dolly Draper is around!!

    Labour greatest achievements:

    1. Campbell Copied a PhD thesis from the Internet, sexed it up and even Gen Powell was fooled!
    2. Campbell saying Brown is 'mentally deranged'
    3. Campbell's poisoned tongue and Hoon's selfishness sent Dr Kelly to forrest and commit suicide?
    4. Blair saying 'education, ducation and education' and sending his sons to
    selective grammar schools.
    5. Mrs dromwy pontificating about the goodness of comprehensive secondary schools and sending her children to selective grammar schools.
    6. Blair doing a deal about tobacco adverts and F1gate which is relealed for all to see
    7. Blair supporting Bush on Iraq war not as Americans' best friend but eyeing the lucrative Bible belt lecture circuit in USA and earning millions when he leaves no10
    8. Blair promising he will stay fo the full term and cutting and running to let Gordo in
    9. Blair and Brown showing visceral hatred to Red Ken and later licking his
    boot.
    10. Brown claiming he fixed boom and bust and now it has come to bite his backside
    11. Blair topping up International aid by billions first to bring in Clare and brown topping it further to bring his crony Doug Alexander. Both imbeciles have topped the African dictators' numbered accounts in Swiss banks.
12 . Blair and Brown let in so many million of immigrants outside the EU that London has worse population problem than Mumbai
    13. Blair's human right incorporation in law of this land meant that the dozen Afghan terrorists who landed at Stanstead have all been given red carpet welcome, new houses with multiple bedrooms, plasma TV etc..
    14. John Reid, Blair's wonderful health secretary let in at least 12,000 Indian doctors who are milling still around without jobs and some are taking jobs away from our brightest medical graduates and the latter either changed their professions to become supermarket
assistants or applying to go to Newzealand and Australia.
    15. As a result of John Reid's munificence, in one state in India as an example, the state government opened 5 more medical colleges saying that London Hospital corridors are fiull of emeralds and rubies.
    16. Thanks to Blair and Brown's immigration polcies and kindred spirit shown to foreigners, the CBI now hires only IT graduates from India, ignoring our own IT graduates.
    17. Thanks again to Blair and Brown's munificence to foreigners, the top UK universities DO NOT TOUCH THE BRIGHTEST
A LEVEL LEAVERS BUT GOES TO OVERSEAS TO RECRUIT STUDENTS
    18. Thanks further again to Blair and Brown munificience of higher dimensionality, my GP works only 31/2 days, sold his old banger, drives a high end silver mercedes and the surgery phone is always busy to keep the infernal patients away.
    19. Thanks to Blair's support to Bush he has become millionaire several times over, buys left and right grade I listed buildings.
    20. Thanks to Blair's support to Bush, Blair is now consultant to JP Morgan for a million dosh and his eldest son has become a fat cat in JP Morgan in the City of London.

    Amen!

  18. Iain,

I am sorry, I forgot 3 very important achievements of Labour which will have lasting effect!

    21. Blair and Brown's social engineering meant candidates with B B C grades in A levels are admitted to medical schools, keeping infidels who have A A A A grades,so that the former can become brilliant cardiac and brain surgeons!

    22. Blair and Brown extended their kindred spirit to those unfortunate illegal immigrants who arrived in a lorry full of tomatoes from Europe are given the honour of guarding Gordo in his security team, and unfettered access at night to the Home Office filing rooms to learn filing!!

    23. To achieve complete transparency of data on a global scale, Gordo has managed to release confidential information of millions of citizens through strategically placed lap tops in streets, posting data disks by second class posts. To prove that he has not kept any secret from Islamic terrorists and their organisation, Gordo has achieved the impossible. Letting an intelligent official to leave the confidential folder on a commuter train! The Tory Party surely cannot top this achievement!

Which to be fair, doesn't exclude the possibility of a completely new form of bust.

I don't think it's a new form, just a significantly worse bust than the majority of us of us have experienced in or lifetimes.

With the novel element of the effects being greatly exacerbated by the mafiosa clique calling themselves our government.

  22. 47 is not true as well. According to the latest ONS figures deaths from cancer have gone up since 1997. What 47 fails to say is that this statistic only applies to deaths of people under 70. I had a spat with Nick Palmer, MP about this and he eventually backed down. This statistic is just spin.

  23. 85,000 more nurses.
    32,000 more doctors.

But our these British Born Doctors and Nurses? Some of the countries we require doctors and nurses need them more than us and are stealing them does no good at all.

The interesting point is Labour have allowed Immigration to run rampant and then they allow more immigration in the guise of doctors and nurses! Mad - Truely Mad! Meanwhile the level of service goes down for the indigiounous population here due to the extra demand required from Immigrants.

Written off up to 100 per cent of debt owed by poorest countries.

Another debatable one as Britain increases its National debt and has indeed had a non-cyclical deficiet since 2001!

  25. At http://web.archive.org/web/20021021111929/labour.org.uk/astableeconomydaily1stoct/ you can see a wonderful story from 2002, now missing from the Labour website:

‘Economic stability has been the platform from which we have been able to invest in our public services.’

What a fantastic quote given that they have overspent year after year for more than a decade, so now we have record public debt, a credit crunch exacerbated by permitting reckless lending, and no money to spend on public services.

  26. Free eye test for over 60's is a farce. Tests WERE free fo all at one time. It is so important to get your eyes tested after 40. eye conditions like age related macular degeneration in the elderley could be prevented if educated early about diet. Reactive NHS instead of Proactive. Plus why are you only allowed a test every two years.
