I thoroughly enjoyed his pontificating about the environment on last nights question time , telling off the excellent peter hitchens, pter hitchens who travels by bicycle and train , unlike lembit who flies his own private aircraft and has shares in an "executive" airline service. Wonky faced hypocrital **** (word banned by Iain)
Might Simon Hughes have a pop? He's pretty sure not to get the party leadership, but he's had a solid majority in Southwark, and is probably more popular with London LibDems than the wider party.

Ah yes, the Simon Hughes who kept saying during the last mayoral election that he would overtake the Tories and get into second place, after which he would hoover up enough second preferences to beat Ken Livingstone.
And the Simon Hughes who presided over a reduction in his majority at the last general election (was this connected to his disastrous campaign to be mayor by any chance?).

ReplyDeleteI couldn't be a*s*d whether he runs or not...I'm waiting for The Hitch to declare...
ReplyDeleteIs he still hanging on to that little Hungarian go-er? he must be worn out by now.
ReplyDeleteWhat about a Opik/Oaten ticket? Poor Ming must be having palpatations at the very thought!
