Iain - they say variety is the spice of life, and if you ever fancy looking at things from a liberal perspective head over to Liberal Review. You might want to linger a while ... the company is better and the taxes are lower. And if you decide to stop there I'm told, like coming out, its telling your parents you're a Lib Dem that's the hardest part
hah.. that taxes are lower line is a classic Lib Dem ploy of "promise anything, we'll never be in power anyway". Not to mention that there are multitude of tax rises to offset the supposed cut. Note that the old codger is saying that the "burden of tax will not increase" but doesn't say it will "decrease" either.
In the words of Ricky Tomlinson... tax cuts my arse.
There's also a piece at BBC online: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/5058248.stm
I heard the programme after prompting from your blog. It demonstrates how proactive and influential Tory bloggers are.
Sorry Iain, lovely as it was to hear you on our wireless as it switched on at 6:53 to awake us from our slumbers, but I thought Mr G got closer to the actuality than you did. But neither of you came close to the extremely perceptive posts on my site about why rightwing blogs are good for Labour. I must stop taking those happy tablets.....
