Political Lookalikes No 94
I wonder if any of our overseas trading partners will notice the amazing likeness between our new Minister for Trade, Rt Hon Ian McCartney MP, and Pvt Duane Doberman, the hapless and incoherent lackey of Bilko, in The Phil Silvers Show.
[ok ok ok, I guess you Brits needs to have their jokes explained and their humour horizon expanded... =] 'ere we go: The above quip is usually quipped when the speaker in the 'bathtub' at a Carnival convention is ready to admit the next bore to entertain the drunk masses. After stripping the hessian accent and compensating for alcohol induced tongueparalysis, it translates to 'shall we let him in?'. <- this is the funny bit, in case you missed it.
