Congratulations to Ming the Merciless

Well done to Ming. Despite a lacklustre campaign he' s pulled through. Now we'll see what he's made of.

UPDATE: Not exactly a riveting speaker is he? I'm just listening to his victory speech. And I'm falling aslee....zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  2. I just cant see anyone getting fired up by him, either positivly or negatively.

  3. I agree with James above.

Why one Earth have the Lib Dems gone for him?

He seems a decent sort of chap.... a bit like the boring fella in the golf club bar who everyone tries to avoid.

And he's 64 years old, but he doesn't look a day over 74 does he?

Still, I don't suppose there's much chance of him being caught with his trousers down, I doubt if he's got a decent one left in him.

  4. His speech had a strange effecton me. I suddenly felt that doing the housework was much more important than listening to it.

  5. Here's one for your Epping Forest Conservatives’ gig (rather you than me pal!):

I see Simon Hughes's second preference votes swung pretty much evenly both ways then...

(ok it could do with polishing a bit or better still binning)

  6. Ming for leader? Why?

The same went for Rifkind and the Tories, I can't remember who it was who said it but the question is apt for Ming too - "to what leadership question is the answer Malcolm Rifkind?".

  7. That's right gang, comfort yourselves with a bit of bitching about Ming. The fact is that you've been sold a pup in big Dave as his dire performance under pressure on Today this week illustrated. Campbell is a man of substance with more than a touch of gravitas and the comparison with Dave is telling.
