The Third Most Shaggable Blogger in Britain...

The Witanagemot Blogging Awards have been published today HERE. Modesty forbids me mentioning how many awards I won, but the one I have most pleasure in telling you about is this. I came third in the MOST SHAGGABLE BLOGGER category, albeit joint third with Devil's Kitchen. We were pipped to this most prestigious of awards by Trixy and Bethan Jenkins AM.

So I guess this mans Chris Mounsey and I can lay claim (titter) to the title of Most Shaggable Male Bloggers. It does make one wonder how partially sited the electorate were in this competition, doesn't it?

PS Anyone who suggests that the photo on the right looks like Peter Mandelson will be summarily executed. Isn't it amazing what the ravages of 25 years have done? :)

    Well done being so shaggable...

  3. Sorry, Iain, I honestly thought it was Lord Lucan!

  4. The guy on the left looks like my mate Dave.

  5. Iain,

Never mind that picture looking like Peter Mandelson, I actually thought it was Peter Mandelson. Sorry :)

  6. Iain, that bloke on the right looks like you when you were twelve.

  7. A bit unfair to use such a bad photo of Chris to make yourself look better Iain! He really is very shaggable.

  8. Thank God you've got rid of the moustache! And what's with the hair, did you use mousse in those days or just hair gel?

  9. Blimey thin pickings. I'll send you my photo if you want to win the "most shaggable" prize.

  10. Reminds me of John Ketley (The ex BBC Weatherman). This could be one for the private Eye lookalikes section!?

  11. Just looked at your winning categories. Many congratulations on winning -

Blogger most likely to vote for a donkey if you slapped the correct colour rosette on it -

Now that has to be up there with winning an Oscar!!?

  12. How on Earth did Nadine Dorries manage 3rd place in the "Best blog by a politician" category?

Seriously. The bloomin site doesn't accept comments so is a one-way street where Nadine pontificates and pronounces without granting the reader the opportunity to challenge or respond. It's the blogging equivalent of someone sticking their fingers in their ears and going "La la la la I can't hear you" when you try to ask them an awkward question, or pick up on a factual error in their argument.

Guess it must come down to the knickers...

Oh, and you look less like Mandelson now, if that is any consolation.

  15. Is that Mandelson? I thought it was a young Stavros the Kebabshop Owner :-)

  16. Without wishing to be impolite, third? For God's sake, how many votes were cast?

As for look-alikes, without doubt Peter Mandelson was the inspiration for Mrs Tweedy from
Chicken Run. If you want an uncanny sense of recognition just check it out.

As for the dodgy-looking guy on the right, he does resemble "I'm Mandy, Fire Me" during his days as a member of the communist party.

  18. I'll be nice to you, Iain. A younger Timothy Dalton.

    How's that?

  19. Iain, you provide more evidence that men improve with age (within reason of course!)

  20. Who's the chap on the right? Mandy?

    Sorry.

  23. The one on the right is more like a suburban version of Borat.

Any chance of one in a mankini?

  25. this mans Chris Mounsey and I"
should this say MEANS? Who is the porn star on the right? I've seen him in a 1970s video but cannot think of his name. Was the poll conducted in Glasgow East and when can we see the YouTube skit on it? Have a good week-end
    freedom to prosper
