The Perks of Being in the Cabinet

Labour MP Eric Joyce appeared on the PM programme this evening and talked about Gordon Brown's management of his cabinet.
There are a number of talented cabinet ministers ... Gordon Brown has sensibly put them into his cabinet ... he's given them a bit of head ... it's holiday time ...

It explains that strange chin business, at any rate.

  3. Gordon might have done these ministers a favour by keeping them out of the spotlight... for the public it helps create the illusion that they're not responsible for the mess this government is in...

  4. Said MP was known in the Army as a complete waste of space. As a Grade One Oxygen Thief he has continued the theme with his exorbitant expenses claims. Those who have served will recognise this; Eric Joyce the "King of the 1771's."

  5. When Eric (huge expenses) Joyce is trundled out you know the Labour Party is in trouble.
The man has no shame--remember him claiming "we WILL find WMD in Iraq, but it's a big country".

  13. I nearly crashed the car when I heard this. No muffled laughter in the studio either, so I think it went by them. Glad you liked it, Iain.

  14. I should have known you would notice that, Iain!

I have no reason to give any credence to these scurrilous rumours about Brown. Nontheless, when I heard Eric Joyce say that I just burst out laughing.
