Vote: After Nick

Earlier this week, I asked you to suggest who you would like to see succeed Nick Robinson as the BBC's political editor, should he decided to stand down from the post after the election. It is rumoured that Today and Newsnight are both after his services.

Anyway, using many of your suggestions, I have created this one question poll for you to register your vote in.

Vote HERE.

  3. Someone who isn't on such matey with the people he's reporting on would be a start. Or a journalist who investigates matters and asks the questions that need asking, rather than going along with the phoney charade of the Westminster game.

So no chance of that then

  6. How about none of the above.

Traditional political reporting is a busted flush . Its quite apparent due to the Internet that there are lots of things going on in the UK that do not even gain acknowledgement in the "mainstream" press for fear of unrest..

    It's all about control

  7. Natalie, hunnie, on a point of common sense, get yourself a decent browser, or if you are already using Firefox, IE8 or Opera, learn how to open pages in a new tab or window. It only takes one click. (Or is your feebleness a result of years of mollycoddling by this nanny state?)

  8. Is there a chance however slim of the Beeb choosing somebody who is a professed big government leftie?

    Didn't think so.

  11. The function of the BBC is to promote the ideas and interests of the Leftist establishment.

What would be the point of appointing a journalist who is a critic of the Leftist establishment?

The BBC is the Leftist establishment.

  12. What about Andrew Gilligan, Carole Thatcher, Ritlah Shah, Carolyn Quinn, Jeremy Vine, etc.

Shame that he is now too old, but Jimmy Young was the only interviewer I ever heard stop The Blessed Margaret in her tracks.
