In his News of the World interview today Gordon Brown promised that if he wins the election he will serve a full term. Doesn't that smack of Margaret Thatcher's "On and on and on" quote, which did her little good? Or does it remind you of the promise that Tony Blair made in 2005 to serve a full term. It was a promise Gordon Brown took great pleasure in forcing him to break. I wonder if this remark will come back to haunt him.

It should be the question that dogs both him and his cabinet until the next election
ReplyDeleteThe only full term I want him to serve is a nice prison sentence for treason along with that mendacious piece of work, Bliar.
ReplyDeleteWhat I really want to haunt the hapless f*@*wit,is the thought of the Kirkcaldy dole office in the spring of next year.
ReplyDelete" I wonder if this will come back to haunt him?"
ReplyDeleteWhat you mean you think he may actually win the next election?
He will lose the election, promise to stay on and fight, then step down at the party conference, the excuse will be health reasons.
ReplyDeleteYou heard it hear first.
Sounds more like a threat to me.
ReplyDeleteHe already goes on and on .... and on and on .... and on and on ..... and on and on and on .... you don't think it could get worse, do you?
ReplyDeleteThis is not a promise.
ReplyDeleteIt is a threat.
Hopefully he’s not going to win the damn thing, but even if by some aberration he did, you can’t go into an election saying you’d hand over in a couple of months, obviously. So he’s just repeating what Blair said in 2005, and we all know what happened there.. Gordon does. Delicious. Irony.
