  2. Iain, any thoughts on what's happening in the Scottish blogosphere?

We're being picked off one by one.

Subrosa is the latest to go.

  3. Off topic but the Tories have come third in a ward they were defending in Roger Gale's Thanet North constituency.

  4. Iain, was that Dorries post highlighting her misogynistic attitude towards Sally Bercow really on of the best blog posts you read yesterday?

I mean what modern thinking woman thinks another woman should only give an interview with her husband's consent.

“How can we ask the people to trust us, when the man who holds us to account has such poor judgment that he allowed his wife to give such an appalling, self-obsessed interview?”

And rather than commend honesty, she reckons Sally Bercow's interview will ...remove any painstaking progress Parliament has made and reduced the Speaker and his office to that of a laughing stock.

At the risk of sounding pious, Nadine should look to herself first when worrying about being a laughing stock. After all, the list of her stupid howlers could fill a book; Trident not a weapon of mass destruction being just one example of too many to mention.

Of course, your motive could be rampant Dorries fandom, or dislike of the Bercows, but flagging Nadines post as one of the 12 best posts of the day shows a clear lack of discernment.

  5. Clive, I don't pick blogs that I consider the best, or because I agree with them. I often pick them because they are controversial. As it happens, I do not agree with Nadine on this and I think she has gone OTT.

  6. What are you ignoring the ClimateGate scandal Iain. There are vast (trillions) of tax dollars at risk and you've nothing to say of the subject.

Could we trust you to be a politician if you can't report on this because it's your old Uni ?

  7. Javelin, Are you serious? I have written a long blogpost on it and one or two shorter ones.

I really do scratch my head in bewilderment sometimes.
