Poor old Ed Balls. Someone tell him that when he's in a hole he really should stop digging. After the story earlier today about the childrens' commissioner, he's
now accused the Conservatives of planning to pack quangos with their own appointees. I think a ROFL is called for here. Oh the hypocrisy. Isn't that exactly what Labour has done over the last twelve years?
Got to find something for all those unsuccessful wannabe MPs to do, eh Iain?
ReplyDeleteSo Iain your response to Ed Balls accusations is "he did it first, miss!". Never worked for me in primary school!
ReplyDeleteDoing the same (dodgy) things as Labour really shouldn't be a selling point for the Tories. I agree that Mr Balls is being hypocritical, but the whole thing does reinforce the impression the voters have that 'they are all the same'
ReplyDelete>>Doing the same (dodgy) things as Labour really shouldn't be a selling point for the Tories<<
ReplyDeleteQuite right.
That's why the emphasis is going to be on shrinking the quangoes, not packing them.
I hope.

ReplyDeleteHear hear! Let's squeeze those quangos until the pips squeak!
Laughable - http://www.labour-watch.com/cronies.htm
ReplyDeleteHmmm. Why do we need a "children's commissioner", pray? A promise to abolish the post would be more welcome than an argument over who is appointed.
ReplyDeleteStill don't know what ROFL means!
ReplyDeleteWV: eywam - Yorkshireman sees George Michael?
I call it psychological projection. Very common in lefties who cannot face the inhumanity, criminality and bankrupcy of their own ideological base.
ReplyDeleteAh! but he didn't dither over this one.

Bit late for you though.
