  1. let's hope not, he is a dreary commentator. I prefer journalist analysis to ex-sportsmen; they are too keen to defend their mates.

After relegation Newcastle may well be in the top flight again before 2020

    Newcastle have no determined attackers

  3. Gordon Brown on the beach finds a bottle. When he opens it a genie pops out and thanks him for being freed. He offers Brown one wish.

Brown shows him a map pf the world and asks for world peace - no wars or famine.

The genie complains that he is not a miracle worker and to think again.

Brown asks that Labour will win the next general election.

The genie asks to see the map again.

  6. The best joke of the day, as LA has posted on his blog, was Legolands dig at the PM with "Browns removals" at the back of number 10. Brilliant.

  7. Shearer has to be the dullest man around. He really gives Michael Owen a run for his money in the yawn stakes.

Still, he holds my attention more than Gordon Brown.
