Just a quick word. It was great to see the excellent James Landale back on our TV screens this week.
James has been off for a few months as he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma earlier this year and has undergone six courses of chemotherapy.
He wrote about his experience last month HERE.
He's one of the more popular journalists in Westminster and I think it is safe to say that everyone was delighted to see him back at work.
Good news indeed. Best wishes to him for continued recovery.
ReplyDeleteIs that Eddie off Bottom?
ReplyDeleteHear hear. James is a top man. I can't see who else is going to be the next political editor of the BBC, either.
ReplyDeleteGood news - and welcome back James.
ReplyDeleteAlso - I commend Iain's video on his homepage on the topic of Jack Jones.
Good man.
ReplyDeleteBJ - let's hope he gets better fast then as Toenail's is nearly Toynbee.
OH, I thought you were getting married? What on earth are you doing blogging?
ReplyDeleteI like James. Sad to hear about his health probs. Hope he makes a swift recovery. Top dude, a True Brit!!
ReplyDeleteHe also wrote a good book about duelling (called "Duel"), which is definitely worth a read. Hope he gets better quickly.
ReplyDeleteJust reading about Nick Boles, in the Indy, who withdrew from being a London mayoral candidate last year because of the same disease. He has now been selected as Tory candidate for Grantham and Stamford.Wish him well
ReplyDeleteCouldn't agree more
ReplyDeleteAs someone who had the same strain (and freakishly similar timeframe) to his cancer, I agree with his comments on how much of a bugger NHL is. Also his comments on the Goody money-machine are very pertinent.
ReplyDeleteI agree entirely with what Iain says. Welcome back James.
