A very happy Christmas to all my readers. I'm spending Christmas at my folks near Saffron Walden as usual. No broadband, no internet and I'm switching my Blackberry off. Well, I might... Ok, I'll try... Have a great time and thanks for your continued readership this year.
Merry Christmas wishes Iain. There are advantages to being somewhere without internet access. You won't constantly be twitching to log on, you can relax and enjoy yourself and your family will have your undivided attention.

ReplyDeleteI agree with Ellee, the apparently 251-year-old first commenter to this discussion. I kept away from on-line communication until really rather late in the day yesterday, when I was home again and all alone -- apart from one of the regular feline visitors (they do seem to like coming in the kitchen cat-flap!)
ReplyDeleteYoung Verity really does need to get herself a formal account, as I did, to avoid (a) confusion about accidental anonymous messages, and (b) forgery of comments. Trust me, Verity, it is worth doing, and the quality of your contributions easily warrants that protection.
Botheration! I think I'm becoming a Verity fan...
Anyway, back to Iain: I hope you had a good time yesterday, whether or not you ended up in the Kings Arms.
A friend and I had Christmas Luncheon at the Tiger Moth on the corner of my Estate, which was very good. I then went back to her place for a while, to be set upon by her two Pomeranians, Tiny and Todd. Life is never dull around here...
We all have our own ways to celebrate this special time, and a good thing too! I do hope that everyone -- even the Labour trolls here -- got something good out of the experience and will have been enriched by this very important Season.
