Blamerbell Takes Off His Briefs

Matt Wardman brings me the sad news that Blamerbellbriefs is to cease blogging. Ciaran Jenkins' blog has become the most widely read blog in Wales, but he's been snaffled up by BBC Wales and doesn't feel he can continue blogging. Ciaran made a film for 18 Doughty Street a few months ago and is a very talented journalist. I wish him well.

  1. ok just posting here because I am apoplectic - Blair will be a Middle East envoy representing Great Britain, the USA Russia and the European Union - courtesy the BBC 1 o'clock news on R4 - WTF!!!!

  2. Hey, get off my thread!

Cheers for the remarks Iain. I have to say you were an early inspiration, though my blog was evidently not blue rinsed like yours.

I'm sure I'll live to blog again. I just have to give this career thing a try first...

  3. Must stop bookmarking favourite blogs - it makes them retire from blogging. Blamerbell was one of the best - equidistant, good links and good contacts. Just hope the BBC nutures and doesn't blandify (if George Bush can create words I can too).

  4. I hope you're watching Newsnight at the moment. Brown looks a complete fool with control freaks in his press office. He is also abusing anti-terrorist legislation - a change of style?

  5. P.S. Cameron looks a com[plete contrast, open and tolerant.

  6. Maybe some credit for Blamerbell's success can be offered to the great variety of posters that have clearly made his blog a good read.

From swivel-eyed Welsh Nationalists to Skin-headed British Nationalists, a good variety of society was there.

Unfortunately, he seems to have sold out his blogging credibility for the BBC's thirty pieces of silver.

    Shame really.
