Lord Ashcroft's Campaign to Save the Caribbean Whales

This advert is part of the campaign by Lord Ashcroft against whaling in the Caribbean, which I mentioned HERE last week.

I did a 7 minute interview with Lord Ashcroft today, in which he explains the motives behind his campaign, which you can view HERE.

You can find out more about the campaign at the campaign website HERE.

I doubt if you would think that whales were "noble" if you were a seal being torn to pieces by an Orca for fun rather than food, or a sperm whale having you nipples ripped off just because they find them to be a delicacy.
If they taste good kill them and eat them.

Good interview and prog, Iain - except you didn't ask Lord A about his Victoria Cross collection.

Hitch seals are not endangered-in fact their numbers are increasing, and they are not doing our fisheries any good at all. And whales don't taste good: I'd rather eat seal (and that's saying something!)

I guess Ashcroft isn't after the ambassadorship to Japan in the next government though

If there is one thing I have a soft spot for it is whales, anyone who is working to protect them is a star in my book.

Sounds like a man with a true sense of porpoise.

Anyone who is working to protect them is a star in my book too. But whatever.

Never mind the Caribbean whales, what about our own? What's he doing to save Cherie for the nation?

That's 18 Doughty Street funded for the next decade then!
