I'm just off to spend the morning campaigning with district council candidates in Fakenham. I am supposed to be on holiday, but the Fakenham Conservatives worked so hard for me when I was the candidate in North Norfolk that I wanted to repay them in some small way. No doubt my efforts will increase the LibDem vote!
I was certainly put in my place at the wedding I went to yesterday. Someone sidled up and said: 'I hope you don't mind asking, but didn't you used to be Iain Dale?' They looked perplexed when I roared with laughter.
What could be better this afternoon than a stroll along Holkham beach? Well, seeing West Ham beat Everton would be one thing I suppose. Sadly, I have had to give my ticket to someone else.
I used to poach sea trout off Holkham beach. Excellent beach. Low tide is a bit of a hike.
ReplyDeleteThe person is still there. It appears that the integrity has gone walkabouts...
ReplyDeleteJailhouse, do you realise how obnoxious and utterly vile your posts always appear to be?
ReplyDeleteGet a life you twisted, angry little man.
anonymous: LOL.
ReplyDeleteIain: I can`t possibl second your wish that the "Hammers" beat Everton this afternoon; my pseudonym not only reflects my poltical preference but also my favourite football team, so, for the first time since visiting your blog site we are not in accord !
ReplyDeleteP.S. Do you think there will be prosecutions re- the Cash for Honours debacle ? I cannot believe Goldsmith with make an impartial decision in this case, he should step down immediately , but of course he`ll want to do the right thing by his chums not his country!(I do mean Great Britain by the way).
Oops! couple of input errors in previous post must pay more attention!
ReplyDeleteJailhouse: Why are you so mean to Iain ?
true blue: I am not mean to Iain I am being fair to him which is less than he has been in my case.
ReplyDeleteNow, now, now all of you.
ReplyDeleteJailhouse Lawyer: Didn't you used to be John Hirst the Category A Prisoner who has tranformed himself into a witty, erudite and persistent thorn in the side of the establishment? Including both HMG at Strasbourg, and this "formerly Iain Dale" cipher wherever he may be in the world?
And a dab hand with libellous blog headlines?
Theo Spark: Didn't you used to be the reactionary Tory blogger who posts porn one handed all day every day. You'll have to get a new optical prescription doncha know? Well don't you?
True blue: Are you a sock puppet?
Al Gore: Didn't you used to be the next President of the United States, now a sock puppet too?
Chris Paul: Didn't you used to manage the most excellent band Distant Cousins who sadly didn't get to the very top but did have a hit with "You Used To"? Single of the week on Radio One? Huge radio hit in Germany? On TOTP in Madrid? Covered in Japan by their Dione Warwick?
Is the sea off Holkham beach and the fishies therein privatised? Fucking Tories, sorry Iain, Flipping Tories!
ReplyDeleteWho`s Chris Paul ?
ReplyDeletetrue blue: Follow the link, at least he has a blog whereas you only have a profile page...
ReplyDeleteJailhouse: As you may be aware I`m comparatively new to the Blog scene and subsequently getting all sorts of mild abuse thrown at me! However, I can dish it out too!(I`v read your profile with interest!) When I`m more "au fait" with Blogging I shall probably set up my own site. No doubt there will be snorts of derision from the usual suspects, who don`t believe in the "freedom of speech"(other than their own),but who cares! Still not sure what Chris Paul stands for ?
ReplyDeleteIain: Mr True Blue is distraught,West Ham 1 Everton 0 Grief !
true blue: Welcome to the blogosphere. I assume that you are referring to Guido, Iain and Newmania as the usual suspects?

Yes and No. 70% of the Norfolk coastline is now owned and operated by the RSPB.
Its only private if you not a member!!
Chris Paul stands for trying to keep Tory bloggers honest, exposing Lib Dems, and seeing Labour "best when we're Labour". Come and visit. Don't bite. Quite new to the game myself.
ReplyDeleteBig John: So have the RSPB started protecting sea trout now? And can be have Theo arrested?
Chris Paul is an irrelevant hypocrite.
ReplyDeleteDon't visit...life is too short.

ReplyDeleteah - a link to the old Guardian article on Hirsty entitled:
"It's not like I'm killing someone now because there's no lid for my jam jars"
True Blue - if you're what you say you are, you should read this article before you engage dear old JHL in any sort of discussion.
Crikey I`m getting a bit scared now! Couldn`t possibly read the Guardian, totally against all I stand for. I don`t know what JHL has done in the past but reading his profile it seems, that he`s "paid the price to society".
ReplyDeleteJudging by the account of his childhood he`s more than "paid the price"!
You see I don`t much care about ẁhat an individual`s creed or race, or politics are, I believe we all have a right to be heard. It`s called freedom of speech!
It`s blatently obvious on many of the Blog sites that, as soon as one expresses an opinion, contrary to some of the manic "posters", the verbal abuse starts to fly. The "usual suspects"that I refer to are not Guido,Iain or Newmania, but the mainly, anonymongs, who havn`t the courage to publish their true names or set up a Blog Profile. I rest my case !JHL. P.S.Are still celebrating the Hammers win Iain ? Mr true blue could barely eat the sumptuous feast that I prepared for him last night !
true blue: Too true.
ReplyDeleteI cannot believe that anyone can be so stupid or naive as "true blue" and be able to work a PC.
ReplyDeleteHe / She / It is obviously a sock puppet. Probably for JHL.
Let this be a warning to everyone...
