Back to the Past

I know they say you should never return to the scene of an electoral crime, but after watching West Ham lose 5-0 to beat Chelsea this evening I'm popping up to North Norfolk for a few days R & R. Mind you, every minute of every day seems accounted for. On Friday we're going to the wedding of two friends who were very good to us during my time up there and on Saturday I'm going to do a bit of canvassing in the local election campaign in Fakenham. No doubt the local LibDems will be putting out the welcoming flags...

    Please enjoy your sojourn in wonderful old Fakenham, Iain. Grown quite a lot since my visits of the '60s I understand. A lot of true "Blues" up there as I recall. Lovely people.

    Very tempting bet in the bookie window. £220 for £10 stake for Chelsea to muller West Ham 4-0. Sounds like easy money, except Chelsea are so blumming lazy and will shut down at 2-0.

    It was a double-entendre where I was actually criticising his personal abuse, but also making a joke out of it.

    I love North Norfolk too. Brilliant part of the world, except for the surfeit of Islington tractors at Burnham (driven in many cases by public servants taking a break from discussing how their boroughs can reduce the impact of global warming).
    Still, great fish shop.
