Did You Know? (#1): Tom Watson has often been accused (mostly by Praguetory or other members of the Dale/Staines circus team) of making a flurry of new entries to drive potentially embarrassing entries from the front page?
(Manic still waits for a series of answers, Iain. He doesn't need to provide a hyperlink to remind you personally of what happened the last time you used a series of underhanded methods to avoid a valid question.)
Well, I have a spiffy mouse here which let's me scroll down at ludicrous speeds; great for reaching the bottom of the blogroll, but not much cop when trying to see what's in the middle.
Most people state the size of their blogroll in terms of number of links, but with Iain's that seems inadequate. Given that it currently spans posts from 14-Mar 00:20 to 17-Mar 13:38, perhaps we could use units of time? So Iain's blogroll currently stands at 3 days 13 hours and 18 minutes. Sounds a bit like the doomsday clock though. When the length equals 0 days 0 hours and 0 minutes is it Armegeddon?
If one were an obsessive ego-freak like Dizzy, one might be tempted to pretend that the spamming of so many bloggers to build such an impressive blogroll was actually an attempt to draw out leftist bloggers and have them waste their time proving that the majority of Tory bloggers are...
*cough*
... Manic will stop there, because he knows that Iain is very strict with his new moderation policy, which reads as follows:
If people abuse the hospitality or insult other users their comments will be deleted without explanation.
Guido 2.0 Lassie knows how to beg now, does she? Good dog. Oops, cover blown. Obviously I am really Dizzy.
I think you have more than enough links to your blog on here, all, of course, provided by your ever diligent link spamming self.
Do keep up.
Actually I am rather bored of calling you a link spammer. I must think up something related to your ability to pervert Google searches. Do you have any suggestions?
Iain Dale, you are a profoundly ill-educated man, dash it, a moron. Also you have a profoundly prosaic name, which is tantamount to certification amongst the great unwashed, a status I'm sure self-satisfaction understates itself most markedly within your esteem.
The deletion is most welcome, you silly little chap.
Iain, Manic is very disappointed that you can't think up your own smears. It all began when you borrowed that word 'nihilist' from one of your guests and threw it back in his face, do you remember?
(No link required because you finally had the courage to *almost* answer the related question in front of your readers/viewers, which was a big step forward for you.)
Now, while Manic has your attention, here is a new question to join aaalll the other unanswered ones:
Do you deny sending a bulk unsolicited email to boost the number of inbound links to your website?
(Note - this dishonest method of building link popularity has been known to pervert Google searches.)
In answer to Tristan and Guido 2.0 (et all), I should posit that all people who blog are possessed of an inflated ego... or why else would they think someone wanted to hear what they said?
By contrast, don't link my blog: it doesn't have anything on it.
Iain, I have been a daily reader of your blog for about a year now & have finally decided to have a go myself. I am linked to you and several other blogs to which I am addicted - you have to be able to keep up with what is really happening in down south from the fozen north!
Iain,
ReplyDeleteHave had the pleasure of linking to yourself for some time.
Great blog, keep up the good work.
Iain, I link to you having started my own recently. Mostly I might add becase of you and Mr Fawkes.

ReplyDeleteDid You Know? (#2): That Iain Dale has the longest blogroll in the entire world, and that it can actually be seen from space?
(Manic still waits for a series of answers, Iain. He doesn't need to provide a hyperlink to remind you personally of what happened the last time you used a series of underhanded methods to avoid a valid question.)
Iain, you could take a look at The Brussels Journal.

Mine does, but I'm not sure if you link too random personal blogs.
ReplyDeleteOh, and short story writer Mic links here too.
I've linked to you (the sole entry in the Conservatives category :/)
ReplyDeleteGuido 2.0 is hilarious. Calling others ego-freaks ;)
(lets face it, most bloggers like to have their ego massaged - hell, most people do)
Tristan: It gets better; Iain Dale - a proven spammer - has called Manic a spammer without a lick of evidence!
ReplyDeleteHi Iain
ReplyDeleteCould you add a link to my blog
http://thenorthernwilderness.blogspot.com/
It could be called a Conservative or Miscellaneous blog.
Many Thanks and keep up the great blogging.
Oh, please, please *pleeeease* great and wise and ever-so-honest Mr Dale, can you please inlude a link to me on your ever-so-exclusive blogroll?
ReplyDeleteWhich slimy little New Labour creep is behind normanbakerwatch?

A background link is provided here and this matter *will* be pressed until an honest answer is provided.
(Psst! Feel free to look up the words 'bulk' and 'unsolicited' before you provide your answer.)
What's that Lassie? You say Timmy is stuck in mania? Perhaps we should find some cipralex.
ReplyDeleteTalk to me. All I want is a little conversation?
