Great Mysteries of Our Time: No 94

The moving of David Cameron's parting from right to left it not as stage-managed as many cynics had thought. Journalists have been speculating that it had everything to do with attracting women voters, but the truth is somewhat different. PA reports...
It emerged today that he was persuaded to make the change by a hairdresser he
had never visited before in North Kensington, near his London home. The Tory
leader, who usually goes to a House of Commons hairdresser, had it done this
week by the Hair Salon in St Helens Gardens after taking his children there. The
hairdresser told him that he had his parting on "the wrong side" and Mr Cameron
was persuaded to move it to the left. He is said to be very pleased with the new
look, which cost him £10. "I think he likes it, so he's likely to stick with
it," his spokesman said today.

Glad to have cleared that up, then.

  1. Is this going to be a haircut blog now?

  2. Also, very annoying the "must register with Google" thing. No more checking out other people's blogs, unless they're on Blogger. I've got two on Blogger, two on Wordpress.com, and two on Wordpress independently hosted. And really, I only want to pimp raincoaster.com, not all the rest.

  5. Forty odd years to work out that he was parting his hair on the wrong side - so how long will it take him to work out some policies?

  6. Iain are you going to continue to part your hair , like the Red Sea , from a Tonsurial deforestation which occupies an ever increasing trench of head.

It looks most becoming , if you enjoy the pinkly delicate hairlessness of a new born mammal.
Or are you going to seek cosmetic assistance ?
I think the growing tribe of Dales bald spot watchers should be kept informed of the exciting developments to come .

Training a squirrel to sit on your head is a radical but effective therapy ...Just trying to help ..

  11. Bearing in mind Tony Blair uses his wife's extremely expensive hairdresser (remember the £7000 for 3 weeks' worth?) and still looks like the Portrait of Dorian Grey I think DC's £10 was pretty good value!

  13. As Druid said, it's the Hair Part Theory. Part it on the right and you look feminine, on the left and you look masculine. If you look more masculine, you're more likely to rise to the top in a male-dominated environment. Simple really. If you don't think it's true, just have a look at politicians, businessmen etc on the news.
Don't be fooled by Cameron's faux naivete.
