Shall I or Shan't I?
It's rare these days that I ever have an evening at home in front of the TV. But tonight I'm having the night off from 18DS. England v Spain, two hours of Desperate Housewives and the second episode of Party Animals beckon (the first one was very disappointing). Or perhaps I should finish reading the Blunkett Diaries so I can finally write the review I have been promising for about three months. Or perhaps I should do something rather more useful to mankind. You see, this is what happens when I have too much time on my hands...
How about spending some time drafting a heartfelt apology?
ReplyDelete"perhaps I should finish reading the Blunkett Diaries"
ReplyDeleteBest done in the loo. Dual use!
When are you going to grow up and abandon your absurd infatuation with chavball?
ReplyDeleteIain,
ReplyDeleteWatch the football. A lot of English players are coming into form, so it could be a good game.
Watch the footie, no contest. Enjoy your night off
ReplyDeleteNo contest.
ReplyDeleteDown the pub with you young man.
An apology sounds good. I thought you were one of the more respectable Tories, Iain.
ReplyDeleteI think some sort of prize should be available for completing the diaries.
ReplyDeleteIf not the key to the location of an expensive diamond encrusted watch, at least the Doughty Street 'Green Room' bar account could run to a bottle of champers ??

ReplyDeleteEvening Iain,
ReplyDeleteYou may as well keep Blunkett's musing for tomorrow, as it will be snowing like hell and Tunbridge Wells station will be closed for at least 24 hours - almost like the last time!
Enjoy the telly!

ReplyDeleteyou appear to take delight in critising those with different opinions to yours, even if they post articles that the majority of people reading agree with.
your take seems to be don't mock Labour, and don't point out that they have made a complete balls up of things.
Remember the pledge of whiter than white that was made in 97, that seems to have gone by the by. As such they are fair game for those who spot their dodgy dealings.
You may say that Iain and Guido have secrets, but I refer you to your own statement.
"if they claim you have haemorrhoids, it's a fair bet that they have a complete rectal prolapse the size of a grapefruit"
Sehr geEhrter Iain
ReplyDeleteIch weiss was soll es bedeuten
dass ich so traurig bin
Mein Fernsehen ist heute nacht zerBrochen
Alles Gute

Buster George: Appearances can be deceiving.
ReplyDeleteYou haven't shown yourself to be a complete moron; you have instead shown us all how effective even amateur astro-turfing can be.
Manic has never pulled his punches when doing battle with Blair, and he has made it very clear that he doesn't rate Brown.
Does this pull any punches?
How about this?
OK, Manic admits that he did go easy on Blair here... but Manic was on holiday at the time!
Next time, it might pay to do some research before accepting repeated (and mostly anonymous) assertions that manic is a New Labour fan-boy. It's easy in Manic's case; if you are visiting one of his websites, his real name appears above the door. (The 'Manic in third-person persona' is something that Manic is doing to make fun of 'Guido', but a quick click-through to Guido 2.0 makes it obvious who Manic is.)
Now, Iain, if you're done with your really important book review, can we get back to this small matter? Cheers.

ReplyDeleteIain you can cut this but, yahoo, has cut 400 messages in yahoo groups politics blair terrorism it appears they got a bit over the top, its definetly a place where there be dragons egging them on
ReplyDeleteThe second episode was a bit better but not by much it has to be said. The young researcher character is just pathetic...although his rant on free speech was actually rather good: "no one has the right not to be offended."
ReplyDeleteI watched party animals for the first time last night. I've been a member of a political party for over 40 years and if anything I saw last night is remotely true then I fear for the future of British democracy. Where were the real people? No wonder voters have utter contempt for modern politics and politicians.
ReplyDeleteI thought party animals was rubbish
ReplyDeleteI've given up on "Party Animals" but "Desperate Housewives" was good last night; the most irritating character was shot dead.
ReplyDeleteThey all irritated me in "Party Animals".
