Miliband Improves His Blog

Much to my astonishment, blogging Environment Minister David Miliband has added a link to me on his taxpayer funded BLOG. I guess that deserves a reciprocation. Indeed, much as though it may pain me to say it, his blog has improved remarkably in recent weeks.

The Party Animals Village Vermin blog also has a link here. I hope to update my blogroll tonight, so those of you who have asked for links should be added soon. If there are any others out there who have links to me but none from me to them, let me know and I'll do my duty.

UPDATE 8.06pm If you want a link, please have the good sense to tell me what it is. Unlike most of the people who have posted so far...

  1. I've got a link to you, but not to Miliband and that's the way it's going to stay.

  2. Miliband needed to improve his blog, it was rigidly over starched and over officious - abysmally boring too. I don't believe it will have changed much.

I tried to reply to a comment once and found myself mired in a labyrinth of rules and regulations before I could get near it, so didn't bother.

The only time Miliband online had one jot of interest was when he naively set up a wiki style site which good old Guido and wrecking crew savaged. I missed inputting any comments but was in stitches over the hilarious comments the Guidonistas left behind.

'My face, look at my beautiful face', the inscription added beneath Miliband's large, vanity laden, portrait pic was the funniest of all - unforgettable :)

Mili made himself the subject of international ridicule with his defaced wiki. Reports of his humiliation even reached the Indian newspapers just as Cameron was blogging with such stunning success from India.

The contrast between laid back Camo and prickly Mili couldn't have been more telling.

Those were the good old days when Camo was still prepared to rough it and appear before the camera in an old tee shirt with dripping wet hair...until the image maker got to work. What a dreadful hairstyle he has now, a far too short and angular cut which screams of icy managerialism and professional politician. His own, longer, arty, floppy quiff was far more evocative of the unconventional free spirit we took to our hearts.. where ever is he now?

I'm an Association Chairman and Local Gov candidate so which category you'd put me under, God knows!

  8. A quick question about usability (without wishing to be rude about a host's dining room wallpaper): is there any chance you could shrink down the sidebar contents? The blogroll and other gubbins makes the page very long (the sidebar's many times longer than this post), and increases load time quite a bit, I expect.

  10. Why does a Government website have political links? On another, slightly related, subject, has anyone seen a copy of Monday's Voice newspaper? The "Chair" of the Black Police Officers' Assn has a lengthy letter attacking the Conservative Party. Thought civil servants were supposed to be apolitical/neutral?
