Ken Livingstone is an absolute disaster. But he was elected. Not by very many people - less than a million including second votes - but elected nonetheless, largely because the Conservatives messed up on their candidate, putting up Norris again. Is this going to change next year? Will there be a credible candidate? If not, you can have any number of campaigns, Livingstone will once again be Mayor.
This is fantastic. The Tories in London (and let's be honest 18 Doughty St is dominated by Tories) are resorting to negative attacks on Ken Livingstone. They will turn off voters in their droves.
It's particularly amusing that 18 Doughty Street have resorted to doing this in the week that their co-thinkers on the Assembly are trying to abolish free travel on buses and trams for 385,000 children in London. http://www.london.gov.uk/view_press_release.jsp?releaseid=10850
Presumably having seen how the Tories can't win on their actual right wing policies they just want to go negative.
And the moral high ground goes to Ken Livingstone!
Nice piccie of ken on the propaganda. He'll like trhat one. Let's face it, the Mail, Telegraph, Express have made no impact... perhaps the two blokes and a dog watching on their computers will enable some anonymous Tory win. Don't hold your breath though...
Ok, fair enough, but who have you got that can beat him?
ReplyDeleteSame goes for David Cameron. Moan about Blair/Brown all you like, but the boy has yet to raise his game sufficiently to get the requisite vote.

ReplyDeleteWell at least he had the balls to introduce systems like congestion charging (love it or hate it)
ReplyDeleteMordonian,
ReplyDeleteHe might have had 'the balls', but where the fuck was his brain?
Ken Livingstone: "If you can fake sincerity you've got it made."
ReplyDeleteOù est-il ?
ReplyDeleteDon't you mean "Qui est-il?", Roger? As for "où", that is simple: il est dans Le Grand Oeuf de Verre.
