Have you taken the Guardian End of Year
QUIZ? I scored 22 out of 25 and am feeling smug. And while I did it I was watching Multi Coloured Swap Shop on BBC2. Memories! I appeared on it at the age of 15 with a photo of a toilet sign in Cambridge which said SHORT STAY TOILETS - P (ie the P for Parking sign). Trust me, the photo was funnier...
Only 20. Would being out of the country for 4 months count as an excuse?
ReplyDeleteOnly 19 - not too bad, but as good as I had hoped!
ReplyDeleteOnly 15, must try harder I think
ReplyDeleteSad to say I got all 25. I need to get out more.
ReplyDelete19 too, I must have too much time on my hands (i do actually) !
ReplyDelete22, equally sad!
ReplyDeleteI was very surprised by Margaret Beckett's John Reidesque reaction to her promotion.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't anybody in the Cabinet know how to mind their fucking language?
Well done Iain. 20 - I'm kinda glad to have scored less than you. As for your other story I don't whether to suggest you were too old to be on Swap Shop or too young to be photographed loitering around toilets, so I'll keep my counsel.
ReplyDeleteOh dear, 21. Must have spent too long reading blogs.
ReplyDeleteThe Prescott affair question was interesting ...had to realise it said "admit". Someone at the Guardian having a little joke?
I got 16. But come on Iain, I'm dissappointed in you!
ReplyDelete19, very geeky by real world standards, but not by the standards of this blog it would appear.
ReplyDelete24 out of 25 (got the one about how long Blair was quizzed wrong. I said 2 hrs it was 1hr 40 mins). As Andrew Neil reminds Michael and Diane each week "It's just a bit of fun".
ReplyDelete22 - Amazed that I got that given that I am on a self-imposed sabatical from active engagment with politics. New Year's resolution must be to make more of in becoming illinformed about politics in 2007.
ReplyDeleteWell I got 22 but I guessed more than three answers.
ReplyDelete21, and given I've stopped reading political news and rely on the blogs for all my information I'm astonished.
ReplyDelete23. Ahead of Iain. I'm chuffed.
ReplyDelete23 - but some very lucky guess work.
ReplyDeleteWhile I'm here: very best wishes for 2007 Iain! Are you going to do a 'Predictions' for 2007 post?
Sorry to go off topic, but a campaign needs to be started to bring back the loverly Maggie Philbin onto our telly screens - she is scrummy !!
