Every now and then I appear on a Radio 4 programme called TALKING POLITICS. The next edition will be on Saturday 30 December at 11am. The guests will be Joan Smith, Peter Hitchens, Simon Heffer and me. I suspect it could be quite interesting. Gulp. The phrase 'on a hiding to nothing' comes to mind.
We'll mostly be AWOL by then.
ReplyDeleteIain its going to be f****** emotional!
ReplyDeleteI haven't forgiven you for that time you collared me at the Spectator party and called me a ****!
As usual I will be tooled up and will not tolerate any nonsense from some useless Tory nark .
One word out of turn and there will be Claret on the walls.
The Hitch.
Not at all Iain , Hitchens ( the real one )is a Sun editorial with syllables and Simon Heffer is ditching the Conservative Party for the sake of being a zesty collumnist.
ReplyDeleteHis recent piece on Iraq entirely agreed with cameron`s position the person who he has undermined in every possible way. What a slip , asked to suggest something positive what does he do . A sensible compromise .How dreadful!!
Anyway you have better jokes
You`ll go out there a chorus girl and come back a star.
Good Luck
Not the genuine fake Peter Hitchens?
ReplyDeleteI suppose its the boring one that does column somewhere.
Is this the real Peter Hitchens (who posts on here and Guido's comments) or the one that writes for the Daily Mail...?
ReplyDeleteWhy would any of the others know anything about politics?
ReplyDeleteCan I be your second?
ReplyDeleteI thought they had banned blood sports.
ReplyDeleteTora Tora Tory?
ReplyDelete"You`ll go out there a chorus girl and come back a star."
ReplyDeleteBut do try to make sure your seams are straight...
'and you'll come back a star
ReplyDeleteALSO
'Let's do the show right here...'
'Dignity, always dignity...'
'Make 'em laugh!'
Well done Iain! Keep close to Simon Heffer and you won't go far wrong - in a friendly sort of way.
ReplyDeleteJoan Smith is a better man than any of you. Just listen and learn, and try to get Heffer and Hitchens minor to do the same. (A tough task, I know.)
