Watlington on Ali Miraj and Candidates

I don't know who 'Watlington' is, but his/her writings on the inner workings of the Tory Party are usually well informed and spot on. The latest blog from him on the Social Affairs Unit blog HERE on the Ali Miraj fallout isn't too wide of the mark. For Watlington's archive, click HERE.

AFTERTHOUGHT: Actually, he is a little wide of the mark on BJ's departure...

  1. "The fall out from Mr Miraj's blog has been high. Mr Jenkin has been removed as Chairman of Candidates."

Nonsense to link the two according to DC and AJ.

  2. Was that really the cause of BJ's downfall?

Didn't Watlington's "spot on" analysis predicted a David Davis leadership victory...

  3. Mr Miraj does himself no favours by telling us that his family think he would have had a better chance of becoming an MP had he joined the Labour Party.
So, we must assume, the main objective for Mr Miraj is to be an MP. Political objectives are irrelevant.
It should be made clear to this ambitious creep; the Tories choose their candidates on merit, not political correctness and he doesn't have much.

  4. This piece is amusing for the weakness of the research.
