Power of the Meme
Prague Tory needs to get out more. Click HERE to see why.
Guilty as charged, but it was quite good fun actually - also these characters will visit my site googling themselves. Iain, congratulations on the home win today, by the way.
I agree with Tiberius Gracchus - it was a bit of fun in the midst of a pretty torrid time in world affairs. The sad thing is that it appears to be Dale who comes up with the ideas all the time. And anyway, Iain, why aren't I in the green bloggers? My site is [was] coloured green, for goodness sake and there was a nice rustic motif throughout.
I spent the morning on this - I didn't know how long it would take. Going forward I'd like to think I'll spend more time on what's happening in Darfur, Lebanon or our criminal justice system than this nonsense.
PS - The anon campaign is a worthy one, but needs to be targetted towards London bloggers.
Actually, that analysis was far more interesting than the original, "official" meme, which wasn't really meme-worthy to begin with or it would have taken off spontaneously (which is actually the definition of a meme). Lucy Gao's birthday was a meme. What you actually have here is a chain letter in blog post form.

ReplyDeleteSaturday is the night to get scared, very, very, scared.. ..etc..
ReplyDeleteAh but Iain how can you criticise- I mean who started it? Great idea and great fun.

Story:
UK - Help catch a criminal in London
Spreading this through the same mechanism might actually bring a worthwhile result!
I think Praguetory should set himself the challenge of trailing the longest meme ever to have been set, any ideas what that might be?
