Will Lewis's first day in his new job as Telegraph editor has not been an unmitigated success. While we were all of course delighted to read the story about MPs' expenses on page 12 I suspect we could have done without reading a longer version of it on page 13 too. Still, a great excuse to see another Telegraph head roll...
I think it was soon spotted after the early editions. My copy of the "Telegraph" doesn't have any duplication on pages 12 and 13.
ReplyDeleteMine does - I started to read page 13 and thought have n't I read this before?
ReplyDeleteShould I keep my copy? will it be worth something in 20 years??
I would have been interested in the other side to this story - why the information would not be given and why the UK parliament chose to act differently to Scotland
ReplyDeletea strange thing that an alleged conservative spends more time criticising the most right wing newspaper in the country than anything else. says it all about the modern tory party
ReplyDeleteI think we need to know the names of all the MPs who don't support this FoI request.
ReplyDeleteAll this secrecy is what leads to abuse.
This is Public Money meant for Official Work.
Anyone who doesn't want fraud exposed isn't fit to hold a Public Office.
No doubt some enegetic soul will be emailing them all :-)
I think there is far to much trivia hunting and not enough focus on the corruption of the political proocess and its language.( Just me then?)
ReplyDeleteJanet Daley is very weak again today . I honestly think I could conjure that sort of waffle in a few minutes on the bus. Oh yes i can waffle with the best of them.
You noticed?
The London editions had the duplication. They must be quite late editions. And still next to no foreign news or news from the European Union, which is no longer foreign.
ReplyDeletePerhaps you think you could do a better job, Iain?
