As far as I know there are only three Peers of the Realm who blog - Lord Hanningfield, Lord Lucas and Lord Soley. Does anyone know of any others?
I've created some new sections in my Blog Links down the left hand column - Blogging MPs, Blogging Peers and Blogging AMs/MSPs and MLAs.
If you know of any I haven't included please do let me know in the Comments Section. Normally I only include links to people who link to me, but in the case of our elected representatives I want to give them some added encouragement!
I thought we had one. But I must be thinking of Lord Bonkers.
ReplyDeleteOh no - I remember now, Tim Garden had one at one point, but it seems to have disappeared off the Lib Dems blogs aggregator so maybe he's stopped it.
Whilst he hasn't posted in over a month, Tim Garden does seem to still have a blog.
ReplyDeleteMy God Iain - your knowledge is encyclopaedic. How do you do it?

ReplyDeleteHow exactly are the Lords our elected representatives?
ReplyDeleteAh, but hopefully they soon will be...

Lord Lucan was posting comments on Guido's Haven on 13 September, complaining that he could no longer affrod to eat at Amici's in Kennington
Surely this qualifies him to be included in your Lords-Bloggers List

Did I not see that Lord Archer was blogging?

From the slow progress of his Enquiries, Inspector Yates seems to have time on his hands, notwithstanding his recent "temporary" elevation in status
Perhaps Lord Lucan will confirm to you that you can include him amongst your Lords-a-Blogging
You can then mention to Lord Lucan that while Inspector Yates still has some moments of leisure, Inspector Yates would like to discuss matters of mutual interest with the long sought-after Lord
The Inspector could even use his influence with Sudbury Prison's Governor to arrange for Lord Lucan to have some work experience, working as part of the Prisoners' Team at Sudbury Open Prison's high-class Restaurant - accommodation & meals (& uniform) would then be free
The Prison Restaurant provides cheap nutritious Quality meals, highly prized by the Gourmets (or is that Gourmands) for the hungry & impoverished Public in Derbyshire (per Jane Austen - the best of Counties)
At the same time, you should gently and tactfully mention to Lord Lucan that he would be well-advised to take up this generous opportunity - it will not necessarily remain open to him, if one of Inspector Yates's less sympathetic colleagues finds out where he live

Lord(???) Archer claims to have one but it's more blagging or bragging than blogging.
