How the Mighty Fall No 94: Adrian McMenamin

Adrian McMenamin used to be some high wanking policy ronk [are you sure you've got that right? -ed] at Number Ten advising the Dear Leader. Now he's developing a career as a pathetic highly intellectual political commentator. Not. So intellectual is he that he's built THIS highly amusing site, called HateMyTory.com. Delighted to see that I rate 4.2 on the hate scale. What a sad little life Adrian must lead if this is the best he can come up with.

  1. "wanking policy ronk" Again this double standard . I quote someone else using one c-- word and immiediately the yellow card is waved. Mixed messages.
I have already bored anyone bothering to read my long splenetic anti Think Tanker diatribes.A period of silence may be needed , (but will not be observed)

  2. newmania, when you used the c word it was meant as a highly abusive insult. And anyway, it's my blog and I'll have doubel standards if I want to!

  3. Not sure about your new avatar pic Iain - you appear to be peering disdainfully at your own comment.

  4. It seems some people have forgotten that the Conservatives are not in power......

Though, for something like this to pop up, along with the strong attacks by the Labour supporting press, show they are worried......

  5. I hadn't heard of this bloke before but after googling his name he does appear to be a classic sleazy Nu Lab drone. http://www.theregister.co.uk/2001/01/30/new_labours_internet_dirty_tricks/
When I think how Labour's debt problem leaves people like him without gainful employment I can scarcely hold back the tears.

  6. Sorry Iain, read that on Guido fist, and voted appropriatly.

I would like to condemn your choice of language, but in the circumstances I agree.

What a t***** is all I can say.

  7. The C-Word is out. Period. (no pun intended!)

4.2? Iain, come on, if you want to be a proper Tory, one must rise to Tebbitesque levels of loathing.

    D+ - Must try harder.

  8. This HatemyTory blog is a waste of space and totally lacking in imagination. Can't bebothered with trying to 'rig' the stats. Bugger all cred. This Mr McMenetc should stick to wanking for which activity his imminent redundancy from financially bankrupt Lab Party will have a lot more time.

  9. The work of a simpleton. Also, if you're the only Tory he asks people to rate, that's personal.

  11. This little page illustrates different approaches to presenting your own image.
Iain Dale is cunningly (miraculously) lit so as to appear to be a chiselled and hirsute .Croydonian admirably spares us much of the horror with the classic hand on the face approach .( Incidentally I work in Croydon and he is famous for covering his this way face at all times…sometimes it is a good thing)
Gareth Ellis is the ingénue , look at my ghastly tie my pie face and my repy car he says . Old School.
Newmania shall remain shrouded in attractive mystery

  13. What is the point of this if you can go round and round again and again? If he had done it right, shite as it was, he would have had IP logging and you could have gone round just once.

Is he trying to make work for Labour HQ people?

  14. Adrian has hardly fell. He is Director of Campaigns and Communications at the CBI, probably earning 10 times what he was on at the Labour Party.

  15. I would be off the chart on the hate scale as lots of socialists and I've met (George Galloway, Jo Salmon, Helen Watters, Don Paskini) hate me personally and politically.

Then again, I do have an effortless talant(?) for annoying people!

  16. Your down to 3.7.

Have you been skewing the statistics?

  17. C4 - What was it that you said on Salmon's site that made her ban you? From what I read, it was all harmless. She seems like a very angry person.

  18. I told the truth praguetory about her and her friends.

I have nothing personal against Jo, in fact I pity her. I just reminded her of all the hypocritical things she said and done over the years (I no desire to go into details here as I don't want to talk about her or them on a third-party's blog) and how nasty some of her friends are.

I know of at least two people who hate her and although I understand why, I do not agree with them.

The banning is a non-issues as like a certain spy-turned-tailor in Star Trek Deep Space Nice, I specialise in gaining access to places where I am not welcome.

Still, if you spot me in the Big C I might stand you a pint.

  20. Without getting on a high horse (well, maybe a Shetland pony) - what is with these people that gives them free-rein to "hate" when almost any other expression of hatred has been legislated against? Oh, because its funny, eh? Well, if that level of crass venomous loathing was pointed anywhere else, he would be in a world of pain. How about voting on HateMyJew or HateMyBlack or HateMyGay or (God forbid) HateMyWelsh? You would be straight off to jail, do not collect £200.

These people live in a world utterly detached from reality, a world where the only thing that gives them cause to take in oxygen is a hate-fuelled desire to keep the Tories out of power AT WHATEVER COST. And what a cost Britain is paying for their paranoid delusional hatred.

Suggestion. How about we add a new class of hate crime - persecution based on political belief? Then we could string him for this site!

There is a word that is appropriate. It is "cant".

Ha ha, political persecution against the Tories is Lampeter Students' Union's favourite pastime.

    P.S. I gave Iain a 1, bring his rating down to 3.7!

  22. Joe - the CBI are notoriously poor payers. Their adverts rgularly ask for people with a long list of qualifications, and then offer about 18k!

Also,on a pedantic point, I don't think AM was a policy wonk. I think he was a press wonk, very different animal. People who do press always want to do policy. Policy people sometimes think they can have a go at press. Both end in disaster.

I'm pretty sure he's worked on some disasters in his time inc Dobson mayoral campaign, maybe also Alun Michael campaign...

  23. Adrian McMenamin. Known in SDLP circles as the SDUP member for Newry after assuring them that NuLab would be great for them and then going on to help the UUP's favourite ever NI Sec - step forward Squire Mandelson.

A classic example of the NuLab careerist who would do anything to advance his career.

  24. Adrian McMenaman is someone who opposed Labour membership to people living in NI and now opposes Labour organising there.

He has posted on Slugger O'Toole to this effect.

Despite this being clearly discriminatory against NI people, denying them the chance to get involved in Labour politics if they want to.

(In contrast to the Conservative position).

    Shame.

  25. What a childish twat.

He doesn't even have the confidence to allow people to give a vote of 0.

Anyway I thought encouraging hate was illegal - or did New labour quietly withdraw that law as well.

  26. Sehr geEhrter Iain

You are now down to 3.5

So many folk are pressing the "1" button

  27. Wasn't McMenamin also involved in that equally pathetic "Keep the Faith" website designed to defend Mr Tony from nasty Tom Watson et al?

  28. It's not working! Iain back upto 4.1

  29. Goodness me, boys and girls, take a joke. It's a fun little website. I gave Iain a 1, but just because of all the work he did to ensure big norm broke the 10k barrier in '05.
