  1. I look forward to your next article on the way Conservative Home promote satisfaction with David Cameron!

  2. Many thanks for the plug Iain :-) Bet you a tenner Everton finish above West Ham this season.

  3. Tabman, I rather thought I would leave that to you! Anyway, in their surveys he's getting 75% satisfaction rating. Do you think Ming would get that?

  4. Dizzy - is that bet open to all?

  5. Croydonian, yes, it's open to all, where all is defined as you and Iain.

  6. If the Lib Dems stick with Ming for the next general election I fear they will eclipse Cameron (if he is still the leader!)

I would like to think that David Davies or the dark doctor would mount a challenge on traditional tory values.

  7. Your real problem Iain is that your voice is so dull. You may be getting quite of lot of air-time recently but the bits I've seen have dissapointed.

You're better at writing i reckon..

    good luck.

  8. Seen the latest Mori poll Iain?

LDs on 24 and for the first time more of the public is dissatisfied than satisfied with the performance of David Cameron

I have looked at the latest Mori poll and the Tories are showing and increase of 1%, in their Lead over Labour and the % Tory vote is unchanged. Never let the facts get in the way of a disingenuous argument,or politics might never seem the same.

  10. The Mori poll seems to be a bit of a rogue one - the LD vote doesn't tally with the other polls conducted at the same time. http://politicalhackuk.blogspot.com/2006/08/greasy-polls.html

Ming is the first LD leader in 16 years to have a negative net satisfaction rating, but DC is also in the red. Looking at both MORI and YouGov, those who were undecided over Cameron's leadership seem to tend towards disapproval.

I'm not sure what you can read into a poll of Tory members about DC's leadership. The party has to appeal to the voters, not just the members.

  11. But now Charlie Kennedy's going to come back, shirley all the LibDem leadership problems are over and done with?

Or they could always solicit the services of DD* whose politics, such as they are, would fit in perfectly.

Then we could have a reprise with DD**, who looks and sounds right, talks sense and has the additional benefit of being a Conservative. Always a good plan for a Conservative Party leader.

PS Ming is 137 not 94 as you reported the other day. He just looks young for his age.
