A Perfect Way to Start Your Sunday...

Tune in to Radio 5 Live's Julian Worricker Programme between 10 and 1 and you'll get intermittent comments and interruptions from me, as well as a comprehensive review of the Sunday papers.

It'll be my first time on Julian's programme. He's also doing quite a bit of presenting on News 24 at the moment and this week interviewed George Michael about his midnight wanders round Hampstead Heath. I suspect we'll be talking about that as well as concentrating on what's happening in the Middle East.

  6. Anonymous 4:46 - Touché. Yes, I missed the written and visual cues of the word "Radio".

Obviously, it was to be a non-visual medium, otherwise why would that man be posing without a tie with his collar hanging open round his neck, looking dreadful, and in a shirt that looked, from the folds, a size too big?

  7. I hope you get chance to comment on Israel Iain - judging from the reports this morning, political judgements in Britain are now increasingly based on the views of the Muslim community, with their rabid and completely unthinking anti-semitism. I am thinking for example of Jack Straw, who according to the BBC, went for a quicm chat with some muslims in his constituency last week and has come out decisively against Israel.

The prospects for an intelligent foreign policy remain dismal, given that Margaret Becket also has to kowtow to the large block of Muslim votes in Derby South.

Will the last one to leave Britain please turn out the lights.

Possibly because he's having a David Cameron moment

  9. verity: no need to attack the poor radio man! It's summer and its better to have loose fitting clothes on...

on a separate point perhaps the Firefox ads could be made a little smaller

Yes, it would be absolutely disgusting to denigrate a whole ethno-cultural group on an unthinking and irrational basis, wouldn't it?

  11. Patrick quotes Anonymous 9:57, with disapproval, as saying: political judgements in Britain are now increasingly based on the views of the Muslim community, with their rabid and completely unthinking anti-semitism.

Regarding this "Muslim community", I think he may mean the Godawful Muslim Council and all these hundreds of Muslim aggressives who have set themselves up to speak for Muslims and who organise "spontaneous" anti-British, anti-Western, anti-Israel demonstrations for which they hand out pre-printed placards. The "spontaneous" demonstration in support of the two Forest Gate brothers began a few hours after the police vans left. This is what passes for "the Muslim community" and may be what Anonymous was referring to.

Too bad they wasted a knighthood on Iqbal Sacranie, who is no longer the head of the Muslim Council and thus no longer has any power to order events. That little Bari is the one to watch.
